FSO Console

FSO Console™ is security program management software for facility security officers at cleared defense contractors. It is built around the NISPOM rule at 32 CFR Part 117 — the way the work is actually structured — rather than around a generic compliance checklist. Built by INTS2, a firm that performs FSO work every day.

Also described as: FSO software, NISPOM compliance software, industrial security program management software, DCSA compliance software, facility security officer software, security program management for cleared defense contractors.

What FSO Console™ does

A facility security officer carries a program, not a task list. The appointment is continuous, the records have to be defensible years later, and a DCSA security review can ask about any of it. Most FSOs run that program across a shared drive, a spreadsheet, a calendar, and memory.

FSO Console puts the program in one place and keeps it in the shape an assessor expects.

Possessing and non-possessing

The program is scoped to your facility posture from the first screen. A non-possessing facility is not shown safeguarding workflows it will never use.

Portfolio mode

Part-time and contract FSOs cover several companies at once. Portfolio mode keeps each organization separate while giving one FSO a single place to work.

Tier-aware

Orient the workspace to Tier 3 (Secret and below) or Tier 5 (Top Secret). Orientation only — it shapes what you see first, never what you can access.

Built on the rule

Structured around 32 CFR Part 117 rather than a vendor’s idea of compliance, so what you record maps to what you will be asked for.

Your cloud, your data

Runs as an isolated instance in your own Google Cloud. INTS2 has no access and the app never phones home. One-click import and export — your data is never held hostage. Encrypted in transit and at rest, with signed, verified releases.

Guided wizards

Setup and recurring tasks run as step-by-step wizards. Facility posture, operating mode, and clearance orientation are established up front, so the program starts correctly scoped instead of being corrected later.

Who it is for

Single-FSO companies One person holds the appointment and does everything. The program lives in their head and leaves with them. FSO Console makes it survive a handover.
Part-time and contract FSOs Covering several cleared companies at once, with no tolerance for mixing one client’s records into another’s. Portfolio mode is built for exactly this.
Primes with subcontractor oversight Visibility into whether the security programs you depend on are actually being maintained.

Why it comes from INTS2

INTS2 is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that performs outsourced FSO work for cleared defense contractors, and is available to support clients in all 50 states. FSO Console was built because the firm needed it, and it is used on real engagements before it is sold to anyone. The people who designed the workflows hold the appointments.

That is a different starting point from a compliance platform written by a software company that has never sat through a DCSA security review.

What to look for in FSO software

If you are evaluating tools for a facility security officer, these are the questions that separate them. They are worth asking of any product, including this one.

QuestionWhy it matters
Where does the data live? Most compliance platforms pool customer data in the vendor’s cloud. For a cleared contractor that is a concentration of personnel and facility information in someone else’s control. Ask whether a single-tenant deployment is available, and in whose cloud account.
Can you get your data out? Export should be one action, complete, and available at any time — not a support ticket and not a professional-services engagement at renewal.
Is it built on the rule or on a checklist? Tools organized around a vendor’s compliance framework force you to translate between their model and 32 CFR Part 117 every time DCSA asks a question.
What does the pricing actually count? Per-seat pricing charges for capacity you are not using. Most cleared companies have one or two people doing FSO work and a much larger headcount in the system.
Does it handle non-possessing facilities properly? A tool that shows safeguarding workflows to a non-possessing facility is adding noise, not control.
Can one FSO run several companies in it? Part-time and contract FSOs are a large share of the market. Separation between clients is not optional.
How is the software itself verified? Ask whether releases are cryptographically signed and verified before they run. A compliance tool with an unverified update channel is a supply-chain risk inside your security program.

Who FSO Console is not for

It is built for cleared contractors under the National Industrial Security Program. It is not a general GRC platform, not a CMMC assessment tool, and not a document management system. If you need CMMC 2.0 managed compliance, INTS2 delivers that separately with ATX Defense — see the pricing page.

Pricing

FSO Console is licensed per authorized user. You pay for the people who actually work in the program — not for every seat the system holds. A two-FSO company pays for two users, however many records, personnel files, or facilities live in the instance.

Two things hold the cost down. You are not billed for idle seats, and the instance runs in your own Google Cloud rather than in a vendor’s data center you are paying a hosting margin on.

How it worksDetail
Licensed per authorized user Each person who works in FSO Console is assigned and licensed individually. Unassigned seats cost nothing.
One instance per company and CAGE code All authorized users at a CAGE code share that instance and its data. Multi-CAGE organizations deploy an instance per CAGE.
Monthly or annual Annual terms are discounted. Final pricing is published at launch.

Questions

What is FSO Console™?

Security program management software for facility security officers at cleared defense contractors, built around the NISPOM rule at 32 CFR Part 117. It is developed by INTS2, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that performs outsourced FSO work.

Who is FSO Console for?

Facility security officers at cleared defense contractors — including part-time and contract FSOs who cover several companies at once, which FSO Console supports through portfolio mode.

How much does FSO Console cost?

FSO Console is licensed per authorized user, monthly or annually, with a discount for annual terms. You pay only for the people who actually work in the system, not for every seat it holds. Final pricing is published at launch.

Where is FSO Console data stored?

In your own Google Cloud. Each customer runs a private, isolated instance in their own Google Cloud environment, so personnel, facility, and reporting data stay in your tenant. INTS2 has no access to it, the application never phones home, and you can import and export your data in one click at any time. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

What software do facility security officers use?

Most facility security officers run their program on a combination of spreadsheets, shared drives, and calendar reminders, with some using general-purpose GRC platforms not designed for the National Industrial Security Program. Purpose-built options are few. FSO Console™ is built specifically for the FSO role under 32 CFR Part 117.

Is there software for NISPOM compliance?

Yes. FSO Console is a compliance workspace structured around the NISPOM rule at 32 CFR Part 117, covering facility posture, program records, and the recurring obligations an FSO carries. It is built by INTS2, a firm that performs outsourced FSO work.

What should I look for when choosing FSO software?

Ask where the data is stored and in whose cloud account, whether you can export everything in one action, whether the tool is organized around 32 CFR Part 117 or around a vendor’s own framework, what the pricing counts, whether non-possessing facilities are handled properly, whether one FSO can manage several companies with separation between them, and whether software releases are cryptographically signed and verified before they run.

Does it support non-possessing facilities?

Yes. Facility posture is set during setup, and a non-possessing facility is not shown safeguarding workflows that do not apply to it.

Can one FSO manage multiple companies in FSO Console?

Yes. Portfolio mode is built for part-time and contract FSOs covering several cleared companies, keeping each organization’s records separate under a single login.

Is there a demo?

Yes, by request. Contact INTS2 to arrange an FSO Console demonstration. The demo environment runs on synthetic data only and contains no real security information.

Does INTS2 also provide FSO services?

Yes. INTS2 provides outsourced and embedded facility security officer support, facility clearance (FCL) sponsorship and maintenance support, foreign ownership, control or influence (FOCI) support, OPSEC and insider threat program development, and personnel security clearance processing. Rates are published on the INTS2 pricing page.
